My friend said that he will sell me his Blade MLP4DSM 4CH Transmitter, 2.4GHz: BMCX2 http://www.bladehelis.com/Products/D...odID=EFLH1064B for a good price. What is the range on this transmitter and can I use it for my future plane (not an indoor flyer)?

Looks like you won't have any setup options. All control surfaces would have to work properly initially or likely not at all.
Other TX of that type seem to all be low power short distance so would likely be only suitable for that kind of application.
Short answer-not likely. Get a real TX and don't mess with stuff like that. It's a shortcut to disappointment.

That is a "low power" transmitter. It would work for a plane, but you
wouldn't want to use it on a "big" plane, as it would not have the range
that you would need. YOu could use it for a PZ cub or a vapor or something
that you keep close.
