I was a little afraid to click that odd link, but I did.

This link would work as well and be much less scarry: http://www.neoplanes.com/home.php

Interesting ESC. I was surprised to read that with a 3 amp BEC that "* Dynam recommends using no more than 4 servos with a 2 cell li-poly and no more than 3 servos with a 3 cell li-poly." They don't say what brand or size servos, so I suppose they could be talking about full size servos instead of the tiny ones I use.

That's a good deal. I just ordered 2 of them. I have several Dynam ESCs and the programming card and have been really happy with them. I figured they would make it up in outrageous shipping charges but it was $26.86 delivered for two of them.

Thanks for the link 7up!

Dave,

If I remember, they are already set up for Lipo and ready to go. You only need it if you want to change the brake or battery setting. I'll program them for you for a bushel of good sweet corn.

They charged me $9.27 for shipping ($29.25 total)....how come yours is 3 dollars less? ...Because they feel sorry for MO people?

Can you program it with the sticks of the xmtr? Otherwise I may need to rob the fields of some corn for you

They charged you more because it's difficult to actually find someone in Iowa. We have these things called cities in Missouri with regular deliveries being made to them. They consider a delivery in Iowa a survival trip.

I can't remember if you can program it with the sticks or not. I'll look at one of the instruction sheets tonight. You could also shoot Darkside212 a PM and ask him. I think he's pretty familiar with them since he used to sell them.

Ships free here, but costs a bit more. Might save you a buck if you compare.

Yep...fast shipping. I got my tracking #'s also.

Seems like a decent company to deal with.

Shipping could have been a little cheaper if they would send it first class mail. My shipping was $6.88 for two. That still makes it a good deal at $13.43 each delivered.

I bought two of these. I'm sure I'll have a use for them in the future. Right now I've got a 40 amp in my MUS and only need a 20 so I could put one of these in it and use the 40 amp in something that requires more power.

My MUS uses EFLR7110 9 g Sub Micro... anyone know if I would still be limited to only 3 servos with 3S? If so then I wouldn't be able to use these in the MUS since it has 4 servos but I could use it in the P-47 I'll be getting next since I won't be putting a rudder on it.

I dunno...basically 14 bucks for a 25 amp esc, which I have heard of other people using with good results. Still seems like a good deal in my book.

Inexpensive components like this makes me feel better while I drive my plane into Wilburs prize possension flying around

Yeah it isn't a bad price, but still $9+ to ship?

I just went back to see how much shipping was for 1 esc.

1 ESC - $9.33
2 ESCs - $9.38

Strange.

I have not figured out their shipping yet either. Grasshopper who basically lives right in the middle of both of us got it for ~$6.00

I wonder what CA has to pay where it is shipped from...

Shipping to CA = $6.46 Via UPS Ground.

Not Bad...

If these companies would only use USPS flat rate mailers, shipping would be cheap ($4.60) anywhere in the US, as well as secure. I believe they would make more sales that way.

Cheers,

Fangar

Fangar, you correct!

A fellow flyer pointed me to this thread and based on the feedback here, NeoPlanes will be trying something new with Wednesday sale. We put the Dynam 40A ESC up for $22.99 with free USPS shipping. Historically we have been shipping large items with UPS but they were really sticking it to folks on the 1 pound packages. If USPS works out, we will likely do more this way in the future.

Cheers,

-- Steve

NeoPlanes, can you say whether or not the 3 servo limit with 3S lipo on the 3a built in BEC are for *any* servo or just larger ones? I'm curious if it is ok to use these with (4) S75's or HS55's.
