Default Determination can fix anything.

My flying buddy 'disassembled' his FX79 Buffalo and decided it was beyond his capabilities to fix it. He bought a new one for himself and gave me the 'kitset' to see what I could do with it.
Here are some before and after pics. Maiden at first opportunity.

It's always a challenge. This one was the biggest yet. I was actually standing on the nose at one point trying to straighten it and it barely moved. I weigh 100 kG. LOL
Here is a little vid taken late today. Landing was a bit slow.... Always the way when videoing. I had 3 perfect landings before that. Bit late in the day for much video. Flies real nice at half power.

Magic .... good for you !

I have a large Cessna 182 donated to me ... still with 26cc RCGF engine and servos in ...

Needs wing seat and wing leading edge bulkhead rebuilt ... cowl repaired ...

I already repaired the wing for the guy who then said - here's the rest of it !!

2.2m span CMP Cessna .....

Here's the broken wing mount front of cabin ..

Cowling that was repaired, primed ready for final paint

Servos in place

Even the fuel tank

and the 26cc ... which I have new Pitts exhaust for ...

Before this one - he also gave me the smaller 1.6m CMP 182 with 4250 E motor in ... which I repaired ... flew for a while - but one day she just hit the deck for unknown reason .. and awaits me to decide to repair ...

Another one I was donated ... 70mm EDF F16 .... was badly smashed up ...

Getting back together ... 3mm Depron was the saviour ..

Default Air Brake Modification

I fitted airbrakes to help it sink as it just keeps on going when you are trying to land. Weather has turned so not sure when I will get to test them now. They measure 160 mm x 30 mm each powered by Turnigy metal gear servos.

Pleased to report the airbrakes are working well. Certainly assists landing.

I see there is another brand Cessna 170 2200mm. It seems pretty popular. Pretty expensive though and designed for 6S
