While I really wouldn't suggest either as a first plane, the Stryker is more forgiving than the Funjet.

Does it come with the battery? Also what is the size of the battery compartment?

Does this take regular rc lipo packs?

I have a few of these laying around, would they fit?

Just wondering how did you measure the speed of this bullet, cuz at 100 mph, i would be a little scare to stand with a radar gun while its passing meh haha!!1

Im interested...

I belive that lipo will work, as other flyers are using 3200mah lipos, you will need to use a larger prop with 3 cells, a 6x4 APC prop will work with 3 cells, for a speed of about 80MPH,

here is the lipo that I used for the 103 MPH speed,

Your pack would work. The end may have to be changed on the aircraft side if you want to keep the end that you have on that pack. It won't be as fast as her setup because she is using a 4s pack. It would definately be "sporty". I have a Funjet and I run mine on 3s packs.

The inside of the Funjet is long and hollow. You can stick almost any size battery in it. You just have to achieve balance. Off hand guess. High 70's to mid 80's. Just a guess.

I use 11.1v 2200hah 25c batteries with a 6x4 prop. Unlimited vertical, small reduction in top end speed, but I love the POWER. I enjoy slowing her way down to an almost hover (facing the wind of course) then going WOT. She'll accellerate very quickly.

yes your lipos will fit a stryker too you just have to make sure that you get the balance right, and its best to use a computer radio for the Mixing of the Elevons, if you buy a radio, get a JR radio and a berg receiver, berg receivers are the best, for FM, never had a glitch with a berg receiver, thats what the FunJet has in it, its cheap insurance going 100MPH the jr receivers, in my opinion dont seem to like E Power, they glitch to much, hope that helps, I wanted to offer this FunJet to you before I listed it on E Bay, Take care, Chellie

Love your fun jets, looks awsome, but I think this is a bit much for me, I dont want my first crash to be on such an awsome machine. Some one else shuild get it. Anyway, I think I will go with the RTF version of the stryker... From ebay or something, and when I get it down, il build my very own funjet, because I really love how it looks...

Love your jet...

Oh yeah be careful on your neu powered project, I have a neu motor in may E Maxx RC car running on 6s and it hits about 50 MPH, I wonder what that type of power would do to a little rc airplane...

Its a nice Motor, I have to really make the motor mounts strong, its the NEU 1509 2.5 2700KV motor, Its good for 200MPH on some planes, but the stryker has a lot of drag to it, so it wont go 200MPH, I will be happy with 125MPH and hopefully 150MPH Take care, Chellie

Chellie -- are you seriously going to sell a 103 mph Stryker to a new pilot, as a "first airplane"?!?!?!

I would like to politely disagree with some of the info posted int his thread.

1. Battery listed was 3200MAH 3S cell weighting in at 9.7 OZ, neary 4 ounces heavier than stock battery.

2. Stock F27B with NIMH will be frighteningly fast for new pilot.

Note: I have like new F27B for $110 + $20 S&H but I still think it is a bit too much plane for a new pilot. (I bought the plane and replaced a defective servo)

Is B for brushless?

I want the brushless version.

I want insane speed and an amazing crash!!! Just kidding.

If its not brushless , what prop would i need to addapt this RC car motor and esc.

Without bench testing it first, it's hard to say, but I'd start with a an 5x5E prop, and go from there.

Also, you're not going to want to fly with the Losi ESC -- it has a built-in heat sink, with fan, which makes it big and HEAVY...

My bet is that you will destroy a F27B or destroy a more expensive F27C at a somewhat higher velocity.

Unfortunately you will most likely end up blaming it on the plane or the radio instead of your lack of experience.

I encourage you to get an experience appropriate plane.

AGGH!!!

You guys are son negative.

I have been flying the Stryker in the G4 sim for a while, I even edited some options to make it unrealistically fast and I can still fly it.

Its not like im going to fly and airplane for the very first time in my life, with absolutely no knowledge at all... ( no reset button is gana suck but Il work with that )

I had the sim for about 4 months now...

Anyway, I dont care if I crash its not a problem, im not going to blame any one lol... And if I crash I want it to be at full speed stright in to the ground... I want it to be big, I want explosions fire, damage,.... lol just kidding....

Jeeez ppls, relax...
