This genuinely has been by far the windiest year I can ever recall. I got three flights in on Sunday despite the conditions. My big helis are the only thing that will cope with 30pmh winds, but even then it's not a lot of fun.

I have this Friday off so confidently predict a howling wind to pick up over Thursday night, it really is depressing
Sorry to hear it there Jet
Hope your flying weather gets better soon.

A little too windy this morning so no fly.
Maybe tomorrow will be a better fly morning.

Well i think its going to be just a little bit too windy for me to fly anything this
morning. Hopefully it will be a little calmer tomorrow.

Been a while since I posted in you thread crash glad your still flying, and building your neat planes.
Been a busy summer for me did manage to get some quality flying in. Just got back from doing some of my favorite flying, and that's night flying. What fun it just wish I could get some of the other club members to join in with the fun.

Well welcome back Gramps, glad to hear of your flying and that night flying
sounds like fun too. I have never tryed it because of where i fly etc.
Trees are too close here in my yard.

Well it was an unusual evening here, I had flying weather for a change.
I usually fly in the morning when the wind is down but this evening it was
perfectly calm. Of course i have to fly from the opposite end of the yard
because of the sun in my eyes. Had a nice safe flight and threw in a few
rolls and loops and then a nice slow landing. What could be better?

Cool this morning but calm so i got in a nice flight with my P-51 SlowStang.
Had not flown it in a long time so the first launch was a bit hairy but i made
a half decent decent and made some adjustments.
The second launch was good and i flew out the rest of the Batt. with no issues.
The landing was smooth and no damage to prop or motor.
Have a good one!

After a week of 20-30MPH winds, it was relatively pleasant yesterday, so I went out to one of my favorite to give my RocHobby Waco some flight time. There was soccer practice happening at one end, so I drove to a tight, but usable, space on the other side of the building. Sure enough, as soon as my timer ran down and it was time to land, up pulls the garbage truck to begin the slow, slow, slow process of emptying all 24 of the school's trash bins and its three large dumpsters - right in my landing zone.
Not having 30 minutes of battery juice to spare, it was ditch-in-the-weeds time.

Cool pic's Mark, i asume the landing was a success and no damage to that expensive bipe. Ya got in your flight anyway. Huh?

Did someone say who's got flying weather?
This has been one of the best mornings i have ever had to fly. 2mph wind is what they say but here in my area surrounded by jackpines i didn't notice any.
I flew all my planes but one and had good results on all but one.
I had trouble with the Cassutt, it was out of adjustment after not being flown for a long time and upon bringing it down i broke the nose. I did get it glued back together and made adjustments to aileron etc. and flew it again and no problem it flew great. It has been a good flying plane from the start but i guess i let it sit too long. Man what a great morning!

Thanks. No - no damage. I eased her in as gently as possible. She flipped onto her back, of course, but didn't break anything.

Ha! Updated the gauges and the dashboard. This video is just of me holding it, and moving around the office like a looney bird. Will fly with the new detail soon!

perfect weather to be flying in the NY/NJ area. Couldn't be better except......

NO FLY ZONE!!!!! The Pope is in town and we are all grounded till 9/30. I must admit, even though I'm not Catholic ,I really do like the way this Pope communicates to the people. I am a believer and he spreads the Love of the Lord very clearly. Way to go Pope Francis.
