You can also sign up on their site to get reminders. They have some good stuff on sale most weeks.

Hey Mike,
I thought I was but maybe since I have a new internet service some stuff appears to be missing.. I'm not all that ssure I 'm that happy with my new service. but it is certainly better than no service at all..
I'll keep my eye on the weekends also.. My wife has been begging me to buy some more planes and stuff.....

I never get reminders or ads any more from them even though I have signed up (many times) for the "insider".
When I can remember, I check in on wednesdays for the crash sale but haven't seen one in a long, long time. I've written e-mails several times and can't seem to get on their list.
Dave, what's been your experience? Are you still getting e-mail ads from them?

Back to the plane, anyone have one of these? Looks like a good candidate for one of these motor/controllers:

What do you think??

Should be ok with that motor and a 6x5.5 prop. I believe its the biggest prop that will fit the plane. For a lighter motor have a look at these.

Dave,
Thanks for keeping us apprised. It hadn't even dawned on me that this is Wednesday and that I need to check the crash.
I sure wish they'd send out the reminders like they used to. I bet I'd buy a lot more stuff. But since they don't, I'm glad you do and I know a lot of us would appreciate the reminder whenever you think of it.

Default Support Our Troops with your Hobby.

If your planning a purchase, you might want to make one on Monday (11/12/2007) Vetrans day observed.

Furthermore, in honor of Veteranís Day, Hobby-Lobby will donate 5% of ALL SALES to Fisher House (www.fisherhouse.org). This applies to all orders placed from Noon Friday, Nov. 9th through Monday, Nov. 12, 2007. Fisher House is a fantastic charity that supports the families of our troops in their time of need.

A little late, but you prob guessed that there was no sale today. It sounds like they are not going to have one next Wednesday either. Last year they had a Big Thanksgiving sale (as did alot of others). If I see anything I'll post it ASAP.

Yeah last Thanksgiving and Christmas they had a big sale. I'm in the market for two motors but my wife doesn't know it yet.

Hobby-lobby knows how to do it in my book. Now I'm going to be looking every hour to see if the motors I want are on sale. Other on-line stores should follow this. Tower offers the money off deal but usually I don't spend enough to get the deal.
