Default DFW area: Free flight box, cover iron, OS .40 LA

Been cleaning out and going through all of my hobby stuff. I have this field box up for grabs. Picture pretty much says it all. In good shape and will be a great field box - has some futaba servo heads, a pocket knife, and old fuel pump (no idea if it still works) in the drawers that are yours as well.

I also have this old covering iron. No idea on brand, but it heats up just fine.

And lastly (sorry mods if I"m not allowed to include this b/c its glow, let me know) an OS .40 LA. Needs a carb and a VERY good cleaning to run. Probably best used for parts. It rotates, but is gummed up from sitting for a couple of years. But some TLC could get it running again.

All this stuff is free picked up in Denton TX (~35 min north of DFW). Would rather not ship, but if you pay shipping we might be able to work something out. PM me here or email at abbattoir@hotmail.com. Thanks.

I'll take the iron, and pay ?? $5 for S/H if you wouldn't mind dropping it in a box. If not no worries. Thanks

Default Iron ID?

Hello R6,
I'm pretty sure that's a Tower/Hobbico iron;

And I have one just like it. I can post a photo of the dial settings if you need it.

Default Covering Iron Settings

Hello Roland,
Here's my settings for a similar iron.
The first photo (lowest setting) is for attaching SoLite, Microlite, Nelson Litefilm. It also works for the non-adhesive films like Litespan + Coverlite.
The second photo is for Ultracoat, EconoCote, other "Foam-Safe" material. This is nearly the highest setting that will work without melting foam.
Last setting is for MonoKote.
For each setting, the position shown is the "Attach" or sticking, heat range. After the covering is completely stuck down, turn it up one click to shrink. Be careful with foam structures!
Every iron may be a little different. Try the setting on a scrap of material first.
Ron

Is the motor gone? I would love to build a nitro plane, I had one a few years ago.
