Paul, and Paul, LOL... I am real close to buying that big Pitts M12! gotta get home and balance the checkbook and see if I can make it happen.
Already got the P-40 and P-47 and the Giles 202! Along with a few mounts and what not.
That big motor and ESC is a good deal too. It is what is in my Big Waco and flies it like a champ!

Ohh sure, kill the messenger, lol...
Its taking every bit of will power I have left to NOT replace my busted Christen Eagle. At 50 bucks for everything minus the battery and 3 servos, its a real steal (that includes the 100w motor and esc). Very nice looking plane in the sky too.
Wish they still had the spitfire

Well Bill, I had to do it. I ordered up the M12 tonight. Its just tooooo big and beautiful not to have one. Its gonna take a big old electric motor to get that beast in the air. I think I have a plan though. Atlas 5030/16 with a 20" apc on 10s... should do the trick fairly well. And if not, well, I guess I'll go bigger! Hope it arrives soon! Im already wishing it was here.

Can't you use one of the SRT/10 motors?

Yup yup, the SRT/10 motors are exaclty the same as what I may or may not run on the M12. I may just run a 21 or 22" instead of the 20inchers on the SRT.
Bill, I have one of those mounts already. I think H-L sells them too. Not sure, where I got it, but I have at least one of them here.
Formation flyin at SEFF sounds like fun... hope you can keep up!
What motor/prop you plannin on man?

With that said something similar I'm sure but will go 10s with it more than likely. I think this one will come in a bit heavier than the Waco.

Sounds like a nice setup on the Waco Bill. I know that two of those 5030s on 20" props and 10S pushes that 65lbs monster of mine quite well. So, I assume a single on the M12 will do just fine.
Liquidity, lemme take a look at mine, I think they had 2 or 3 sizes of those mounts. Not sure if I have the right one or not. I had a 42?? mounted to it on my Ultimate for awhile. I may take ya up on that one though.

Here is the one I have.. I just noticed that they recommended at Power 46 for that plane, however the mount says it was made for the Power 32 to Power 160.

Yeah Laine it does quite well. It really impresses even the most hard core gas guys at our field!

Does so well in fact that I won best Civilian scale at our clubs Scale meet back in September! First Electric to ever win in a meet like that at our club.

Dang, electric bipes winnin scale competitions. That dont happen often! It will happen more and more often though IMO. E power is the way to go. Heck, I just listed my 60" Pitts S2B for sale on RCG. (gotta get rid of my nitro stuff).
Hey Liquidity, can you measure the face of yours quick, the part where the motor mounts that is? I'll go check mine, we'll see if its the same thing.
