I'm pretty sure its a complete kit, but most people use aftermarket hardware anyways....I know I do

Just an observation, that is apparently not the Twinstar II, the latest version. It still looks to be a great deal.

Not only did the plane show up with good hardware but even a pair of brushed motors were included. I was thinking this was a "No Power System" so that was a surprise.

The Brown truck brought mine today also and was I ever surprised when I discovered that it was a full kit . I'm thinking of building mine stock and fly it like that for awhile before I convert it into a float plane with brushless power and lipos of course.
I'm wondering just how well it'll hold up or if I should cover it with silk & WBP Minwax? Has anyone had one of the original TwinStars that can tell us how well (or not) they'll hold up?

SJ

As a 1st plane I wouldn't recommend it at all but for an aileron trainer it'd probably be okay. I'm just guessing because I've not flown one before myself.

Default Twinstar

Twinstars are great planes! They are a very good aileron trainer as well.
I have one and it is my go to plane..you could even do some mild aerobatics. They fly well inverted as well. The batteries can cost you a bit, i built up some 8 cell sub c 4200mah and I get about 15 minutes of flight time. The high wing allows for some not so perfect landings without causing you any problems. You can even do touch and go's in the grass with it. Allow for a large area for landing they can come in kinda hot at times. Great plane at a great price ! I'm thinking about getting another for a spare. Hope this helps,
Dan

Thanks Dan,

I have 2 Hecell 9.6V 8 cell packs 1800mAh 4/5 A size NiMh. Will those work for the stock brushed set up?

Thanks,
SJ

Unhappy Yep

I decided after looking at mine that I wanted another one so I saw it was $39 again. Even still at $39 it's still a very good buy IMO. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and get another one before they're all gone for good.
