No, it is not. The only epp that is close is the epp that SuperflyRC uses on their epp planes which is the same as used on automobile bumpers. It is some stiff foam.

However, the beauty of epp is its bounce and fly characteristics. I have two F22s -- one made from epp and the other Dow fanfold. The epp plane allows you fly with great abandon low to the ground. I have crashed and several times and simple field repairs were all it took to put it back in the air. If I had done the same with FFF F22 it would have been junk.

Default We Need an EPP Foam Stimulus Package

FREE Shipping in the U.S!

Thank you so very much to all for your business, input and support!!!!

NOTICE: Requesting your opinion / feedback:

We are thinking about offering our sheets at 36" x 11" instead of 36" x 12" to improve the final measurements at the edges length-wise and offer a more accurate cut. We've received feedback of some inaccuracies with the sheet measurement along the lengths of the edges, and most of the time it's one edge of the sheet that isn't too accurate having a varied thickness... and this happens at the cutting stage whereas the cutting machine sometimes leaves a "lip" on one side of the foam rendering it a seemingly inaccurate cut, although the entire sheet is accurate, only that one edge is off. But cutting in 1/2" or 1" length-wise fixes the issue.

We'd like to ask if offering the sheets 1" inch or 1/2" inch less from the edges would be worth the trade-off of receiving more accurate measurements at the edges.

Thanks again for your input, help and support. And thanks for allowing us to serve you and be a par of such a fun hobby!

Wow, free shipping is an awesome deal.

Thanks!

Frank

PS If you have time, can you describe the pros and cons of using 1.3 and 1.9 pound foam? Is this posted somewhere else here?

Thanks,

Frank

I'd prefer the sheet to be as wide as necessary, whenever I buy balsa or foam. I happen to own a couple metal straightedges (okay, they're just aluminum rulers from the hardware store) so if I need all edges of the material to be straight and square, I can cut them. But sometimes having that extra 1/2" can decide if I can get a certain pattern of parts to fit, or not.
However, since I own a PhlatPrinter, my "norm" will be to look for 24" wide sheets of material.

Default New Year's Resolution: No More Crashing!

Hello,

Happy New Year Everyone!

May this year be prosperous and peaceful for All.

FREE Shipping still offered

Thank you Murocflyer and dorsal for your input / responses.

We do offer 36" x 24" sizes, a customer need only request that size.

As for the difference between 1.3 and 1.9, it's the weight / density ( 1.9 is stiffer and weightier )... we do have that info on the site and it can also be found in quite better detail herein Wattflyer.

Thank you!

Default RCSkyFlyer: The EPP Foam Stimulus Provider

Hello All,

Many thanks for the continued support of our generous Bosses around the RC world!!!

You've make RCSkyFlyer a joy to run!

Still offering Buy 3 Get 1 FREE!

We are coming up on our 3rd Year Anniversary next month!!!!

That's right, we've been selling this wonderfully flexible yet sturdy foam material for 3 Years, and we couldn't be happier with our Bosses ( our kind customers ) who've made us a success!

We'd like to ask: What would be a decent offer / deal / special you'd like to see next month ( March ) where we would still be able to keep the lights on, and you'd be happy to partake in?

Also, we are very close to solidifying a carbon tube and strip source, so be on the look-out for that! Carbon goes hand-in-hand ( as you experienced builders very well know ) with this specific material, and we appreciate the suggestions and leads you've submitted to us... and even though some have attempted to corner the market in the EPP Foam and Carbon Fiber market, we have our ways of bringing you an alternative source!

Thank you greatly all for your continued support and helpful feedback!

We owe it all to You!!!!
