6mm Profile Foamy Plane Build Rust Buster
#1

Hi Everyone
I am getting back into Rc Building and flying, You Never leave Your First Love
I Need to Build a Foamy Rust Buster, before I try to fly my new Quickie 500 Pylon racer
the Quickie 500 could get to about 100 to 150 MPH with a 40 Pylon Engine, header and tune pipe with a 8.75 x 7.5 Prop, I Will use a 9x6 prop to start with and the reg. muffler with the Baffle removed for now
to get used to the Quickie 500, But first I need to Bust the Rust off of my Thumbs
My new build Profile plane will have about a 32" Wing span and look something like this, and will be E Power
I want it a little on the small side so I can just toss it in the back seat and go Fly. Take care and have fun everyone, Chellie

Not so good news on the spine ... op to gloue back together OK - but now there is pressure on the 'cord' and nerves.
Tablets / Consults / Physio .... looks like a longer haul than we expected ...
Building like mad - keeps me from giving up .... but flying - haven't launched anything since early spring ... Already have a truck load of models to maiden.
You take care lass ..

I Dont Know if you are aware of Gesara and Nesara, It has been put into law Globally, some Countries are already in it, Charlie Ward is the Spokes person for the Quantum Financial System, If Your not aware of it, Take it with a grain of Salt, Also look into Med Beds when they come out, It will be Free to use, Its 80 year old Suppressed Tech. Get to a Med Bed ASAP, This is Suppressed Tech, It will be hard to understand at First, take it all with a grain of Salt, better times are coming, Hang in there, Chellie

Hi Everyone
My Depron Foam came in the Mail, Sooo There is no EXCUSE Not to start Building
Here is what I got done so far, I cut out the Wing and The Ailerons, I need to put a 45Degree cut on the ailerons so they can Pivot and I need to cut a narrow channel in the wing to put in a 6mm Carbon fiber tube with epoxy to stiffen the wing, I got a good start tonight
Take care and have fun, Chellie

I Got the Fuselage Cut out, Its starting to look like a Airplane
I Need to cut out the Elevator and another Stiffener piece for the fuselage, Its getting there, I Have Jury Duty today so I better go hit the Hay and Get some sleep, I Hate Jury Duty
LOL, I am Using the T L A R Method and working off the picture, That Looks About Right

Got the wing Brace groove cut out for the 6mm carbon fiber tube, I put a 2" strip of clear packing tape on the bottom side, then pour in some 5 min epoxy, then the cf tube and the 2" packing tape on the top to seal in the epoxy and tube, makes the wing nice and strong, because I dont Intend to be Nice to this Plane
Always clean Depron foam with 91% Alcohol to remove the release oil, agent thats used, or the paint, tape or glue wont stick to the foam very well, Ask me how I Know
LOL
You can see the 45% cut on the ailerons, I will be using Packing tape for the Hinges on this plane, I learned to use the thickness of a T Pin on the control surface for a small gap so the control surfaces will move to 90% both ways. Ok Back to work

I Got some more work done on the Plane, I Epoxied in the Carbon Fiber 6mm Tube in the Wing, I Made and Epoxied in the Fuselage Stiffeners in place, I Cut out The slot for the Elevator, I Made the Rudder a Little Taller by about 1" It looks better now
I Need to Epoxy a Strip of Bass wood under the Fuselage from the front to the rear for stiffening and a skid as this plane will not have a landing gear, I will just catch it out of the air
Ok Just Kidding
Ok back to Work

I got the Elevator Measured out and Cut it out, I am using 2 Different Airplane Pictures for Ideas and using the T L A R Method
Its getting there, My Lipos already came in the mail, they are 1350 mah 25C Lipos, the motor I Am using is a Small 1800 Kv with a 30 AMP ESC and a 6x6 Prop, a 7x6 cut down to a 6x6, It should Fly very well I Hope
dont let the little bell motor fool you, They are very powerful, the trick to making them last, is to cut down the prop shaft, they are to long to begin with, and slide a collet prop holder on it, the long stock prop shaft bends to easy being so long, also use a little epoxy on the wires and glue them to the windings, and use a little CA to glue the motor to the motor mount so it dose not turn in the mount over time, I Love these little power house motors and they are only about $8.00 at Hobby king.

Got Her Done
Just Needs Paint and Electronics, The Tail Feathers Took a While to Make and Fit, its done now
on the Bottom of the Fuselage I Epoxied a strip of Bass wood, that gives me a skid and it also stiffens the fuselage, If its Not to Cold Tomorrow I Will Paint the Plane, I also used some Balsa strips on the Elevator and Rudder to Stiffen the foam, I Used a Little Epoxy to Glue them in place, Should be Good For 30 Gs
Take care and Have Fun Everyone, Chellie

Dang it
I came down with a Cold / Flu Bug, That stopped me from building for a little while, I am Feeling better now, So Back to Building Soon, Harbor Freight tools had a Black Friday Sale, I have been Eyeballing their Yukon 60" Three Drawer Hardwood Workbench, Reg Price is $ 199.00 they had a $ 40.00 off sale for $159.00
So I Got it
Heck, I cant make it for that Price. and I picked up a 19" canvas tool bag to carry my flight gear with, I Saved My Self over $600.00 by Fixing my Bosh Dishwasher and Not having to buy a new one
This is the Second time in 12 Years that I Had to fix my Dishwasher, The Fist time every thing pointed to the water valve being stuck, $12.00 part on line, It turned out to be Corroded wire connectors inside the plastic connector that were bad for the water valve, ok, cut out the connector and used 2 wire butt connectors, Fixed, the second time the reed switch in the door got stuck , I tapped the area where the reed switch was at, broke it loose and it works again
I am a Happy camper, I use You Tube University to help me Diag. the problem then I go after the problem, here is the work bench and flight bag. The flight bag was only $20.00 I also bought a Biker work seat
It fits my Big Behind Great and is very comfortable
