Default Hobbywing Platinum 40a issue

So I am having issues changing out the connector on the esc that came with my Blade 450x, and the wire don't seem to want to stay in the solder, could be that the tip is shot. Anyway, I plugged in a Hobbywing Platinum 40a ESC to take the place of the stock one, but I can't get it to work. It constantly beeps, and I read that that means the throttle in not set to zero, but it indeed is. I can't seem to calibrate the throttle either, it beeps the same no matter what. Then, I rebound the radio to the esc, and no the esc goes into programming mode. Is this something to do with the setup of the BeastX system, or the esc malfunctioning? The stock esc does work fine by the way, still have yet to make my first flight.
