I dont think there is anything like that (and best if it were, things like that cause some strife. Ive seen it too many times) although if you were to talk to, I believe, Mike Parsons...I think he is mr head-honcho, contributing to the forum is of no big deal. Hopefully someone will stroll by who can help ya.

We currently have nothing like that available or plans that I know about to make it happen in the future. We have had members sponsor the Aerial Photo Contests by donating goods as a prize for the winners of it and that has worked out well.

Hello Quadracer111, Welcome to Wattflyer!
As Kosh mentioned, there are no real "levels" or rankings of Members at W/F.
But there are symbols and icons that can indicate how a Member has contributed to the site. Posts that are helpful usually generate a "Thanks" and Members who are positive and friendly will have requests for "Friends".
Other icons are for site contests and participation in site events.
Overall, I believe it is a fair way to run things. It's not a popularity contest, and no one can buy a ranking. It's based on the willingness to help, knowledge and shared enjoyment of the hobby.

We ship flat rate! 1 sponsorship, 10 sponsorships, its all the same to us.
Currently with fuel prices where they are, we have had to adjust our rates and our carrier. We now ship exclusively with:
Nepalese Mountain Trail Postal Service
Yes our Asian partner will ship your goods anywhere in the world for the price of but 2 firkins of goatsmilk (payable over the span of multiple moons) and a promise to withhold any curses on future crop yields.
Can't you just SMELL the value?!
The phones are ringing off the hooks, folks. Don't miss out!

But on a more serious note, what hobby shops you like around here? I like the guys at colpar, and the girls

Oh sure, its always quite lubberly that time of year. Right now until about mid September it tends to rain, so everything gets nice and green for awhile, the deers get plump on the field grasses, and they might as well put up big yellow 'TURKEY X-ING' signs all over the place.
Now, being that I am originally from Maryland and was within an hour's drive of the Shenandoah for a decade and a half, what these folks out here consider 'natural splendor' is nice, but well, lets just say nothing can compete with an early Autumn day at about 3:30pm, walking through a sunburst forest of reds, oranges and yellows, anticipating a nip in the air, and feeling the dynamism of nature in flux.
But come on out! The Hill country is certainly a Texas treasure. Everyone should check it out at least once!

What part would you be coming to?

Hello GANJAR,
Yes, I go to Colpar (both of them), in fact they were great supporters of the Rocky Mountain Electric Flyers. They chipped in a bunch of prizes at our first two "Electric Fun Flys".
I haven't been to Action Hobbies in quite a while, I heard Glenn was selling the shop.
The LHS I usually go to is Thompson's Hobbies, 1685 Wadsworth. I've known Jerry for many years.
Are you in a club? Where do you fly? I belong to the Arvada Associated Modelers, the club field is off Hwy 93.

Heya : )
I fly helis so i dont go to thompsons much at all. I spend most of my time at colpar and action. I'm not sure who the owner is now, but some big tall dude like 6'5'' is always in there now with his kid. His name is Brad and he is a very freindly guy, i would assume he is the owner, but im not positive. He's always up for ordering whatever i need on the fly and has helped alot with my heli needs. They guys at colpar are always nice and on first name basis, especially jeff, he has a heli just like mine so he always lets me know exactly what i need to know hehe.
I'm not an official ama member yet, but ive been at arvadas flight club couple of times with a buddy of mine. It seems liek a very cool place, and as soon as i get a few things squard away, im gonna become official. The people ive met up there are also very friendly and enough reason to join i think. I havent been up there in about 2 weeks, but this sunday im gonnna try to make it. Maybe i'll see u up there.

I plan to come down through Brady, where I was born and then just wander around your area. We tend to just head out and see where we end up each day. I have a map.
Then again, if my wife gets a new job soon, we may not take a trip. Probably won't know until a few days before we leave.

Well heck, Brady is definitely a good jumping-off point. I've spent some time up there on day trips to Llano and Mason, checking out the Llano uplift. it is quite an amazing chunk of territory up there!
Then a nip down through Fredericksburg to a biergarten for some schnitzel, of course.

I can recommend Marble Falls to you, I love that town. It amazes all of my friends when we go through there that a place like that exists in Texas.
Most people think its all scrub desert and tumbleweeds for some reason. Hollywood I guess.

I appreciate the thought and gesture. We are funded by our advertisers as well as our sister site (RCU). We just want our members to enjoy themselves while they are here
