Default BOLO - Stolen trailer with Airplanes Knoxville, TN area

These Planes and Trailer were Stolen in Seymour, TN (near Knoxville).

Be on the Look Out. If you have any information contact Deputy Chief Detective Jeff McCarter at the Sevier County Sheriffs Dept. Or let me know here and I will pass along. This stuff could show up in pawn shops, craiglsist, or ebay and similar sites anywhere in the southeast. This area has quick access to I-40 and I-75 so could be anywhere by now.

Pass the Word, The Person or Persons who did this need to be in Jail.

I hate thieves with a passion. Hope they find the stuff and/or the trailer.

Are there any outside pictures of the trailer, any decals, stripes etc?

Trying to get some more pics. I am pretty certain it is just plain white.

That really sucks, I would assume they took the trailer thinking higher dollar value stuff like tools would be in there. Hope they get everything back.

sad part is they will probably trash the planes and use the trailer or sell it off. This is why I have started keeping my trailer inside my garage.

You're probably right. If it's reported stolen, law enforcement would be hard pressed to pull over every plain white trailer they saw on the road to check it out. Really, the best bet of finding the thieves is if they try to sell the RC equipment, and get reported.

We are all watching the pawn shops, craigslist and such and have sent word to all the east TN area clubs.

Hopefully at least some of his stuff can be recovered.

That is an issue with this hobby, the planes/equipment are nearly unsellable at pawn shops or even craigslist...you need to "find the right person" that even has a clue what the items are or how to use them. If it were construction equipment/tools/car parts etc. selling would be easy.

very true. That is why we are watching craigslist so close, if they are dumb enough to steal a trailer maybe they are dumb enough to try and sell the stuff in it too.

Probably not, but hopes are out there none the less.

crooks aren't always the brightest...hopefully they will do something stupid. Would be awesome if they were recovered of course, even better if the AMA/FAA number was there and helped in the recovery. Dreamin...I know, but still.

I work in Law Enforcement Dispatch here in the park and handle all the "dumb people doing dumb illegal stuff" reports.

You'd be amazed at how dumb people can be. I just hope these are some of the same types!

This sounds weird, but maybe they should be on the look out for a "freshly rattle-can painted trailer" lol. A quick change of color.

even better if the AMA/FAA number was there and helped in the recovery.
I didn't see any quads in there so he is out of luck there. (I know...bad attempt at a joke)
