Hmm, should work - I have several of the 6ch in parkflier foamies (bound to my JR XP9303)

What procedure are you going through to bind?

The failure rate on those cheep clone receivers is very hi. Like Old Fart said - check the procedure your using to bind is correct. If that doesnt work your likely out of luck.

I'm guessing the Tx included with the HZ Champ is just a DSM not a DSM2 which is probably what the Orang Rx requires. It should work fine with the Dx6i you are getting.

The Tx with the champ is dmx2... Binds with my BNF Ember...so maybe the unit is defective. Will affirm when I receive my dx6i!

Does the short range TX that comes with the micro BNFs really bind with full range/parkflyer receivers? Has anyone tested? The digital handshake procedure in digital radio is typically quite complex and the parties identify themselves and usually state what type they are and what capabilities they have. Maybe the small TX tells the RX that it's not full range and the RX refuses to bind? Has anyone tested this?

I'll test this with an OrangeRx and a genuine Spektrum as soon as I get a few minutes later tonight.

Thanks...my newly ordered dx6i is on back order until late June....so it would be nice to know if it is just the stock Rx that don't bind vs the full spectrum ones!

I have several of these RXs, sometimes I have had to get the transmitter ant less than one foot away before it bound, then everything worked fine.

I just received the hard cased Orange Rx receiver from HK and it binds perfectly with my stock controllers! Perhaps the other one will still bind with my dx6i once received. Anyway ordered more of the hard case Rx's to have on hand for the GWS pico tiger moth and slow stick I ordered.

I just received 2 of the new 9 ch Orange RXs, they look great! They bound perfectly to both my JR 9303 and my JR 8103

I will be doing range and flight tests very soon.
