Default Default Turnigy G10 - 1200kv or 1100kv for PZ T-28?

Hi all,

For a Parkzone T-28 fomay, running 3S cells on a Sky Power 45A (60 burst) ESC (may run 4S cell as well?) would you get a G10 1100kv or 1200kv? Is the run time going to be significantly impacted between the two?

The 1200kV has higher max amps, and slightly higher wattage. The 1100kV is only rated to 3s, not sure why a lower kV motor of the same size would handle less voltage, or much difference in current. The 1200kV will have higher rpm...and since it can pull more current, you should be able to turn a prop the same size as the 1100kv, unless you are going to the max size and pitch, of which the 1100kV can run a bigger prop at the same voltage. I would go with the 1200kV myself, as with more potential draw, and slightly higher watts, it would be a more powerful motor.

From your other post, run time depends on the setup. The 1100kv is max 32amps. If a setup on the 1200kv is pulling 32, then run time would, more or less, be the same. Of course, if you push the 1200kV into 50 amps, run time goes down.

Could look at that one too.

With any of these motors you'll get a lot of power, 63 oz of thrust from a 30 oz plane.
