Yeah, That sounds nice, Hum, we always had things like that on Saturdays, I guess more folks are off on sunday. We don't hold many things like that anymore.

6:00AM temp 85 light winds
Must finish fly by 9:00AM or else the glue starts to melt and batteries get hot quick but that is life in Sun City AZ in the summer !! Time to build another plane or two !

Default I've got flying weather

9 AM: No wind, temperature 82 degrees, humidity 76%.
Results: Beautiful flying and great morning.

P.S. My wife kept asking me when I was going to land because she was tired of filming with the hand held mini cam!

Last edited by Voyager2lcats; 06-24-2007 at 09:00 PM. Reason: P.S.

'Twas an awesome day for a fun fly event. Close to 30 pilots, 40-50 awesome looking aircraft. Overcast, started off humid, 5-10 mph winds blew in and got rid of the humidity. Was a rather low cloud deck; kinda funny to see some guys going vertical then the plane almost disappears in the mist. You can barely see it, definately hear it, then it falls over and down she comes. Over and over this scene was repeated. How cool.

Granted, there were only a handful of 'lectrics flying today, but it was fun to watch the larger aircraft. Heck there was a 47%'er there and all I could say was "wow!" Imagine buying batteries for that???

This mourning at 7:00am was 60deg. and a little sunshine just barely a breeze so i took my Ultimate Bipe and put her up. Had a real nice flight and did a few rolls and loops and knife edge but mostly circling my small area up over the Jack Pines and just trying to avoid the trees. Those trees are always hungry for foam.

We've moved past the daily torrential down pours and moved right in to summer. HOT.....HOT.....HOT! and with all the rain we've had, the humidity is unreal. Oh, and the mosquito population is doing well too. Never thought I'd already be wishing for fall.

Been on vacation all week, building a bathroom in the basement, and it has been AWFUL. 90+ with high humidity, just miserable. Not so bad in the basement where it is cooler, but still, gotta go up to the garage to cut wood and all.....ugh....

Hopefully it will be done before I go back to work on Tuesday. Looking pretty good as it is......

As for flying, it has been so hot it makes me feel terrible, and messes with my blood sugars (diabetes), so I doubt I would get much flying done anyway. I was planning on going to a fun fly in Peru, IL today to see Jason Noll fly his scratchbuild United Jet, but I gotta finish the bath, and it is just too hot to be out in the sun for me.

Seems like too often it is either too hot, too cold, or rainy, yanno?

Beutiful flying weather this mourning.Flew the Ultimate Bipe and had a ball doing Immelmans up above the Jackpines. They were watching the plane with their mouths watering but i managed to stay away from them. 2 flights in so far and charging.

Rain and Thunder today. And tomorrow....and Wednesday....which is club night.

Had perfect weather Sunday, but the pilot felt awful, so no flying for me til at least Thursday. Oh well, gives me time to put my Pitts together when she gets here.

I would describe this morning as idyllic.

I went down to the lake at 6:30 AM. Not a sole in sight, and hardly a ripple on the water.

Flew two batteries through the Ultrafly Super Decatlon on floats. ROW, touch and go's, loops, rolls, stall turns, you name it. Great way to kick of the day.

Yesterday evening was sweet too. Got two more flights in before sundown.

I wish it could be like this all year long.

Yes, yesterday was beautiful for flying. I got in one flight that lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes. Unfortunately, it was on a Delta regional commuter jet. I hate traveling but I must say the sun set lat night was spectacular.

It's been fairly windy here every day unless I want to get up at the crack of dawn. It's ok though since I have a new flying buddy I have more fun than flying alone. I'm glad to hear you have had such nice weather Gnascher!

Tom, at least you didnt crash.

Pitts today! Woohoo!

My weather has been pretty awful with rain and T-Storms. Even if it was nice, I am finishing the walls in my basement. 4 more plywood sheets and they are all up. Trim, then my wife gets to paint them this weekend. WHEW!

With the humidity and dew points as high as they are, it's taking me a little while to get them done. But, they WILL be done today. (I hope) LOL

Looking out at my 10-day forecast ... looks like rain is a possibility here and there, but it looks like winds will remain pretty light (except the next two days) for the foreseeable future.

Thurs and Fri this week, they're talking about 13mph winds ... but I bet I can get in a sunset flight even then, as long as it isn't raining. It usually gets pretty calm toward sunset around here.

Yeah, bummer on the rain but nice to be able to fly in the eve. I usually get in most flights in the mourning early. Sometimes in the fog.Ha

Yeah, I fly at a local lake which gets a fair amount of recreational use. Mostly around the shores and at a public beach. There's very little boat traffic though, because the lake is horse-power restricted. Bassboats and waterskiiers go elsewhere.

Even still, I prefer to get out in the early morning before people are using the beach and public dock. In the evening, I'll row out in a dinghy to a more remote part of the lake to fly.

After 3 days of heavy rains, we are finally clear. Weekend looks very promising. I informed my wife that I WOULD be flying this weekend. She didn't argue. (Whew!)

A little cool this mourning but perfectly calm so i put the UB up and had a nice round of immelmans and 8s and loops etc. then managed a fair landing up to my feet.
Hope everyone else had good flying this mourning also.
