No, a smaller scale aircraft... same rules apply to both. Adding weight for proper CG on a scale model is not necessarily a "design flaw" or "ballast". Eflite did a good job on the scale conversion...

I'd dump the landing gear and stock radio... Convert to brushless (TP 2408-21 perhaps) and go with 3S 1000 mAh lipo... But, that's just me... :D
