The fan is splined to the adapter that fits onto the shaft.

The GL flies so slowly there's not much you can do with it.
The spoilers work to bring it down nicely, but ailerons don't work well... without a LOT of differential, and flaps are just added drag.

An UAV platform must go through hoops with the FAA to be used for AP.
A legally registered full-scale, no.
Just pay attention to limits and no-fly-zones and NOTAMS.
